We believe that adopting a rescued greyhound is a life-changing experience. Despite their backgrounds, ex-racing greyhounds have a calm and gentle nature, making them suitable for various households including units and apartments. Each and every greyhound has their own unique personality, quirks and needs. Our greyhounds are fostered in homes where there is regular communication with their foster carers. As a result, we have a great sense of what their ideal home should be.
What is Greyt Greys Rescue's Adoption Process?
We prioritise finding the perfect match for both you and the greyhound to ensure a happy and smooth transition. Our greyhounds are fully vaccinated, desexed, flea treated and worm treated and microchipped. Our process is simple!
1. Complete an Adoption Application. If the greyhound you have applied for is unavailable or unsuitable, we will endeavour to match you with a more suitable greyhound.
2. We'll call you. Over the phone we will chat through your application and arrange next steps.
3. Meet and Greet. We'll come to you and conduct a 'home check' to ensure your home is safe and suitable for a greyhound. We always check that fences/balconies are high enough and that the greyhound has a cosy, warm place inside to sleep at night. At the same time, this will be your Meet and Greet with your new greyhound! This is where you can ask any questions you may have about anything and everything! You'll then commence your three-week Adoption Trial with your new snoot. All of our greyhounds come with a collar, coat, lead and muzzle.
