Meet Patrick - The luckiest, unlucky Greyhound

In May this year, we rescued Patrick. Patrick came from the pound, when we collected him he was the most emaciated dog Greyt Greys had seen in a long time.
Patrick was also bleeding, neglected, and covered in open wounds and sores.
Fast forward a few months and Paddy has been steadily gaining his strength through the support and love of our foster carers.
Gone are the days when his bones protruded, and he weighed a mere 23kg. Today, he's a healthy, happy boy at 34kg.
Paddy's a special snoot, he's such a smoocher, always looking for a spot on the bed to snuggle up with his foster carers.
However, we've had a setback.
Life threw a serious curveball our way last week. While playing, Patrick had a freak accident resulting in a broken bone around his carpal joint, which connects to his achilles.
Patrick urgently needs surgery and a plate insertion, followed by rehabilitation. It's going to be a long road ahead, but we believe in Paddy's resilience.
Greyt Greys proudly operates on a "no greyhound left behind" philosophy. We're determined to ensure Paddy is back on the road to recovery, no matter how long that road is.
Further updates on Patrick's surgery and rehabilitation to follow.
