Happy home update: September 2023

Herbie

Herbie

Herbie is such a special, loving boy who probably needs to be bubble wrapped, he's so excited and therefore clumsy. He is the quirkiest.

He loves to take ALL the toys from the toy box, not to play, just to take and then grab more. He is such a lovely brother to his sister Barbie, putting up with her sassiness. Our favourite thing is Herbie shoving his snoot into our face in the morning to say "good morning!"

Herbie is the perfect representation of "not entirely sure what's going on but just very happy to be involved.

We can't thank Greyt Greys enough for your suggestion of Herbie, he fits in so well with out dynamic.

If we were to get a third greyhound or finally convince my friends/family adopt one, we will definitely recommend Greyt Greys, the support has been incredible.

Billy

Billy

Greyt Greys matched us with Billy (previously Johnny) after our previous greyhound passed away, so our household was in mourning. One of our main requests was for affection and he has that in spades.

Our no couch rule went out the window when we got to snuggle up with Billy during family movie night! With patience, he has learnt his routine very quickly. He went from being absolutely terrified of the stairs to running up and down in 6 days.

Having had a previous greyhound, we knew that they all adjust with time. He does this thing where he moves close to you on walks and looks up adoringly, completely taking in the moment, almost like he's saying "How good is this walk? Aren't we having the BEST time?" To be able to do that for a dog, to make them feel that they belong to your tribe, it's the reason why we wanted him so much and it is the immense comfort we got knowing we had given that to our previous dog Edie.

Thanks Greyt Greys for fielding a million questions and for all the support you provide along the way.

June

June

We're so happy to have found our June Bug. She has settled in well to home life, even big brother Moose is a fan. She's a super loveable girl who gives us cuddles when we first wake up, is very excited to see us when we come home and even loves showing off her toys to all of pawrents colleagues in zoom meetings. We're obsessed!

Peggy

Peggy

Peggy has settled into non-racing life as if she'd been born to it. She particularly enjoys a post breakfast snooze in a sunny spot and pre-dinner cuddles on the couch.

She is the sweetest girl and very loved.

Pepperoni

Pepperoni

Pepperoni is 10 now and has 3 siblings, 2 cats (Sadie and Beans) and a blue heeler named Tony. I've had him about 5 years.

He is just the best boy, and is really the calm of the whole family.
